E X P L A N A T I O N S  ( the cure for answer )

Q: Huh? What is this crap? Why is it all so confusing, in English, varför säger ni inte bara vad den handlar om?

A: Yes.

---

Q: So who are you people?

A: We're a cute bunch of explorers from Uppsala, Sweden, usually teaming up with other curious people from the same planet.

---

Q: What do you want?

A: Create perfect seconds in lasting trips you'll want to replay.

---

Q: Do you have regular names? Didn't it start somewhere? MEN BERÄTTA DÅ!

A: Yes! When we begun with shitty prods back in '99, the core team were brothers Erlingmark (Niclaz, Erling, Sepp, Alec), Mikael Carlquist, Daniel Croner, Emil Granelius and Johan Lyheden. We, our best friends and all our mothers were the actors. Mike brought in good friend Linus, cute sister Lizah and cool grandma Sigrid, while Niclaz tried manipulative skills to attract good musicians. When buying semi-professional equipment in 2005, our aim become higher and produced the first serious films, with 'I give' setting new standard. Mike slowly leaned towards projects of his own, youngest brother Alec made his first stuff and became another driving force, Niclaz thought more and more about world domination. After having finished the two ambitious 'A heart of blood' and 'Gå mot rött ljus' with own equipment together with bro' Alec, Niclaz got the money and hence chance to do whatever he wanted on a more professional level. Two years later the meticulous '9732' puzzled viewers in Göteborg, Cannes and wherehaveyou, and is a kind of film the Erlingmark brothers like. Being curious and fond of storytelling overall, you will probably see very different films from the Elenziah label as well. Är du nöjd nu?

Q: What's the best thing about making film?

A: To collaborate with great artists. The feeling of working with someone you admire, be it a composer or an actor, and together creating something you're happy with is hard to beat.

---

Q: Niclaz, are you cocky enough to give advice to young filmmakers with more talent than you?

A: Always! And thanks for asking - I'll even give three. Number one: try. It's quite a mess in the beginning, a whole lot to take into consideration, and by trying you'll surely learn a lot every time and grow from it. Being afraid to fail or be embarrasing is seldom a winning recipe in life. Number two: learn why. What is it that you want to achieve? How did the lust start? I got friends who are amazing at funding money, have great visual style and are natural leaders - but doesn't have a storyteller inside. I got friends who are great storytellers or artists but just can't make their asses leave the chair. If you learn why you do this, no one will benefit from it more than you will. If you can't write, get someone else to do it. Number three: surround yourself with good people. Be it actors, artists or just trustworthy friends to rely on, and be careful with the responsibility they've entrusted you with. Nothing is more rewarding than happy collaborators.

---

Q: With over 60 short films, aren't you fed up and want to make a feature film?

A: When we feel confident we'll be able to make it as good as we want to, we'll try. People rather watch shit like 'Göta Kanal 3' (~400.000 sold tickets) than good film like 'Sebbe' (~10.000) though, so if we don't try with something new like tits, asses and confident karate-lesbian-vampires in our films, we have a tough battle ahead of us. If you finally see an Elenziah film in a theatre near you, you'll know it'll be pretentious. Promise.
